We all know that the Plame-Gate "situation" is absurd. Novak's article was absurd, the media was and still is being absurdly absurd, Bush's declaration that he takes leaks seriously and would ensure an "investigation" would take place was absurd. The White-House's "Process" was absurd, as BarbinMD made very clear in her diary entry titled "The White House Has A Process." The prosecution of Scooter Libby is even absurd, although he does deserve to be in jail...
Valerie Plame Wilson was a CIA agent. According to GOP officials she may not have even been officially "classified," so there appears to be some "ambiguity" regarding her "undercover" status. But even if that's true what does it matter? She still worked at the CIA, CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY. If you work at the CIA, even if you are not classified as "undercover," why does that suddenly mean she's a person whose name can be used for political reasons?
I don't see the names of many other active agents of the CIA, "undercover" classification or not, being mentioned in the news.
Why is that? It would be wrong, that's why - and for any American Citizen to bring up whether or not she was even classified as "undercover" or not (as an argument for why the Bush Administrations shit doesn't stink) needs to question their values... because even if nothing ILLEGAL was done here, there are OBVIOUS moral questions for us to be mulling over. Anyone who doesn't think so represents everything immoral, depraved, and disgusting with the American Psyche today. And if you're a Republican and not thinking seriously about how you're going to kick these "GOP Officials" out of their place in your party, and their equals in the Congress from their office ASAP, then you are absurdly ridiculously absurd and a BAD AMERICAN.
