The abrupt firing of 6 US attorneys by US DoJ and Alberto Gonzales hits the fan.
As I said on February 10, 2007, this story is a real scandal for the Bush Administration not the Scooter Libby trial.
Fast update for you.
A good reason to fire Dan Bogden the now ex-US attorney in Nevada was his G-sting prosecutions. That involved local Republicans running for office in Las Vegas getting the un-rated DVD version of a Lap Dance and $25,000 bucks for their campaign war chests. Bogden successfully prosecuted those cases.
An even better reason to fire Bogden was the FBI investigation of once Congressman now Nevada governor Jim Gibbons for his fun escapades on junkets paid for by lobbyists and corporate donors. For a Mormon old Jimbo does get around. ;)
Here's the latest on the House Judiciary subcommittee hearings on this matter:
Democrats on a House Judiciary subcommittee voted 7-0 Thursday to subpoena fired prosecutors Carol Lam of California, David Iglesias of New Mexico, H.E. "Bud" Cummins of Arkansas and John McKay of Seattle. No Republicans member of the subcommittee attended the session, which lasted less than five minutes.
David Iglesias will testify on March 6.
Just lookout because mainstream media will pick this up and do their best to pour water on the fire just like they did with the Scooter Libby trial.
