So my
"Vice Presidential Cattle Call," at 280+ comments, has
generated more comments than any other post since the Scoop migration. The previous record was 244 for
this Clark post.
I'm guessing the high number is due to two things: One, the post stayed at or near the top of thr front page for more than twelve hours. That helped quite a bit. But, more importantly, I think it was something new to talk about. There was very little (comparatively) of the same old hashing and re-hashing of the nine contenders for the top of the ticket. We had new people and new possibilities to consider, and that was appealing.
Thanks to everyone who posted. I will take up the call again in a few weeks.
Wow. You all are awesome, and very kind.
