In a lengthy opening diatribe, this evening Bill O'Reilly laid out the far-left George Soros conspiracy in spades.
He had a chart and everything.
I can't possibly do the segment justice. This diary is more of a "heads up" so that you can be on the lookout for the inevitable video that will pop up.
UPDATE: Here's the video. Fun for the whole family via Crooks and Liars.
But in a nutshell:
George Soros funds the Open Society Institute, the Democracy Alliance, MoveOn.org, and the Center For American Progress. And all four of these insanely powerful and nefarious organizations fund "millions" to...
Media Matters for America, of course. The group's purpose, according to O'Reilly, is to take people's comments and "distort them." Media Matters is vile and, yes, they will come after not only their targets (i.e., anyone whom George Soros decides to go after, be they a Republican or a "naughty" Democrat like that angel of mercy, Joe Lieberman), but after their targets' families!
Update: Thanks to Kossack thirdparty for the chart. (How come all of O'Reilly's graphics are based on the anatomical appearance of a giant sphincter??)
Oh, but there's more. George Soros is also funding a gaggle of far-left extremists and their radical agenda, including:
Bill Moyers at PBS
Jonathan Alter of Newsweek
Paul Krugman of the New York Times
Frank Rich of the New York Times
And...Rosie O'Donnell
(No Keith Olbermann? Strange omission.)
And John Edwards is Soros's pick for president because he (Edwards) will obey Soros's every command automatically and without fail. "Must...eat...brains..."
George Soros, according to the author O'Reilly had on (let's call him Hack H. Hackerty), is the "Dr. Evil of left-wing politics." His goal is to "buy the next election." He is radically changing the entire fabric of America and he's poised to stop the flouridation of our water!
In short, O'Reilly went ballistic tonight, and his left-wing conspiracy theory deserves every ounce of ridicule our side can throw back at him...starting with those radical far-left fringe elements known as facts and reality. Anyway...
Here's my take on it. I think Fox "News" is feeling its credibility starting to crumble, so they figure, eh, let's shift the focus onto some imaginary force which we'll call the "vile, smelly, wart-encrusted far-left fringe smear merchants of death and halitosis." The little people at Fox will make a boatload of unsubstantiated accusations, weave together an imaginary web of far-left deceit, treachery, unbridled power and influence...and use the cable network's #1 guy as the hammer to start driving the nail home.
And, really...no one will care.
The best part of all this is that O'Reilly promises to reveal even more sordid details over the coming days, weeks and months. It's like Christmas "the holidays" just came early for me.
Think about it. Bill O'Reilly is coming after us! I need to stock up on popcorn and nachos and rum and Coke and buy a new La-Z-Boy. This is gonna be the greatest non-story of the year. Take note, Stephen Colbert---O'Reilly is going to start writing your scripts for you.
