Everyone knows that someone placed a call to Mrs. Ashcroft as she sat by her husband in the hospital.
And, everyone is speculating as to who called her. We are presuming; nay, hoping, that it was Bush. And I haven't seen this suggestion anywhere: Um, ask her.
I don't know her visibility or inclination to talk to the press, but it seems to me that a simple question could be posed about who placed that call to her on May 11, 2004. She would likely remember quite clearly who was on the other end of the phone.
If we can't ask the MSM to do it, maybe a brave blogger with connections will take on the task...?
Another possibility, of course, would be the hospital switchboard operator who sensed enough gravity to override standing instructions not to allow any calls through...
Either way works for me. I'm tired of all this speculation. Excited, but tired.
