James Marlow, GA-10 Democratic Congressional Candidate.
Progressive Democratic Congressional candidate James Marlow will be live blogging right here on DKos tomorrow morning at 10AM EDT. Marlow, a former Yahoo executive, is running in a special election primary on June 19th for the seat of Republican Rep. Charlie Norwood, who died on February 13th of this year.
James Marlow's principal opponent in the special election is Republican hack, tire dealer, and State Senator Jim Whitehead. Whitehead is an embarassment to the state of Georgia with a history of moronic verbal gaffes and a staggering detachment from reality.
More on the flip....
Here's a couple of Whitehead's public remarks to give you a flavor of his lunacy:
"left-wing political activists [are] intentionally registering illegal aliens to vote, including known Al Qaeda terrorists..."
"Iraq has not been a big thing in our district."
Whitehead is Georgia's Tom Delay...or worse.
Unlike Whitehead, Marlow realizes that Iraq is indeed a critical issue for Georgians and all Americans. The protection of our troops and a successful exit from the Iraq debacle based on the strategic concepts proffered by the Iraq Study Group will be a major message of his campaign.
Be sure to join James Marlow tomorrow for extensive Q&A. He will respond to questions beginning at 10AM EDT, and will intermittently return to the diary throughout the day up until his appearance to keynote the first AtlantaKos event at Manuel's Tavern Saturday evening.
