The "no confidence" vote coming up in Congress is not tough enough. The lack of action to begin withdrawing our troops from the disaster in Iraq is not tough enough. The lack of action by the Congress on the critical issue of impeachment of the President and Vice-President is not tough enough. The total disregard of the raping of the public by the energy companies is not tough enough. The fact that we still don't have reliable voting systems that are the foundation of our democracy--that's not tough enough.
The failure to capture or kill Bin Laden is not tough enough. The lack of foresight and planning for the greatest crisis of our time, global warming, is not tough enough. The wimpy-ass goddam press which refuses to do any real reporting anymore is not tough enough.
The failure to address the compounding economic class issues is not tough enough. The failure to take care of one of our most historic and culturally vibrant cities in the face of disaster is not tough enough. The lack of cause for war, armor in the field, and vision for victory is not tough enough.
Congress is not tough enough. The Administration is not NEARLY tough enough. George W. Bush is a wimp.
Where are the leaders? Where is someone tough enough to take on the Greatest Crisis in the History of the Country?
People and politicians talk about toughness a lot. I don't see any these days. I see a lot of hand-wringing and sighs.
Triangulation is not tough enough. Playing both ends against the middle is not tough enough.
Are there any leaders out there who are tough enough? If I had a chance of winning, I'd run myself.
