Tonight in Montpelier, Vermont, Greg Palast announced that he received a phone call this evening from Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. that US Attorney replacement Timothy Griffin, Rove's former assistant, is under investigation for election fraud.
Palast published this on Griffin in March:
Timothy Griffin, Karl Rove’s assistant, the President’s pick as US Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Griffin, according to BBC Television, was the hidden hand behind a scheme to wipe out the voting rights of 70,000 citizens prior to the 2004 election.
Key voters on Griffin’s hit list: Black soldiers and homeless men and women.

Targeting voters where race is a factor is a felony crime under the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
Recall that Palast, as a BBC reporter, was the ultimate recipient in 2004 of numerous emails that had been intended for ...@GeogeWBush.com, but were sent instead to ...@GeorgeWBush.org, a spoof site. At that time Griffin was Research Director for the Republican National Committee.
Emails show that Kyle Sampson didn't want Bud Cummins, the US Attorney Griffin replaced, testifying to Congress because he worried that Cummins would testify that Griffin had been blabbing about a Patriot Act provision that said his appointment was possible without Congressional approval.
It appears the wagons circling the embattled administration must draw a little closer to protect such a close ally of Rove.
