The first question to Washington Post reporter Lois Romano this morning was:
Crestwood, N.Y.: If you were in charge of the 2008 GOP Convention, at what time would you schedule George W. Bush's speech?

Her response:
Lois Romano: Great minds have debated this question for decades, trying to catch maximun viewers. I think I would schedule it for 8pm est
Hello. With a 28% approval rating, I don't think the Republicans will want Bush's convention speech to be seen by the maximum number of viewers.
The intent behind the question was clearly about how Republicans would try to bury Bush's almost obligatory speech at the 2008 national convention (or maybe encourage him not to give one), and Romano completely missed the point of the question. They still do not get just how unpopular Bush is outside the beltway.
My guess is that,if Bush insists on giving a speech at the convention, it will be scheduled for 11 PM in St. Paul, and that a busy agenda prior to his speech will just happen to push back the start of Bush's speech past midnight.
