Apparently, the WI ads are going to be picked from those developed by:
http://www.switch2dean.com
A great touch with two caveats
- I sincerely hope they have Apple's permission to do this, since if they don't, it's hello lawsuit time.
- While the switch campaign has been effective in generating buzz and positive evaluations for Apple, it really hasn't done squat in increasing market share overall. Apple's market share remains about Dean's vote take in Oklahoma.
You'd hope they'd take a page from another Apple product and campaign - that around iPod and iTunes - which at least has been successful in both redefining a market segment
and gaining majority support.
That said, it's easier to switch candidate preference than computer platforms so who knows, it just might work.
Let's hope they actually got their legal ducks in a row on that. Apple I'm sure doesn't mind an unofficial knock off of their campaign, but they might find it difficult to ignore an authorized campaign ad lifted wholly from their campaign.
Although, you'd have to imagine Steve Jobs has some affinity for Dean. They're both renegades of sorts. Although Micro$oft's Steve Ballmer has a better YEEEARRRGGGGH! going on.

And they thought Dean was scary.
