This is going to be short and sweet.
I am a college student living in St. Louis, and I think the cost for YearlyKos is ridiculous. Maybe you geeks who work in Silicon valley can afford first class tickets on Singapore Air with happy endings to Chicago with reservations atthe Hilton, but I sure as hell can't!
Okay, I know conventions aren't cheap. I know there are all kinds of costs that I can't even begin to understand from reserving the convention center to electricity to security and what not, but isn't there some way that you can make a "student price" that was maybe 100$? I was really getting excited when I first read about it to the point of nearly purchasing some Amtrak tickets to head to the Windy City only to see that this convention is not something that the majority of Kossacks can afford, let alone college students like myself.
Okay Markos, I'm not saying that you're silencing my voice. But have we not been remarking so much lately about the youth vote, especially after it helped us so much in 2006? Do you have any idea how many college students in the Midwest and around the country would love to go to this convention?
So if you think Markos should start a "student price", give me some mojo. Require a school ID or something at the front door so people don't cheat. If you're afraid of losing money because so many students will buy them, then cap the number of student tickets at 300 or something.
Please!! I want to make it!
