reporting trials of PolyHeme, the first really promising artifical blood.
What's awful about it is the voice of the article: scare tactics galore. Yes, we all know that this gets people to buy papers, and to buy products (scared people are less rational buyers). But really. This is the only way a technology like this can be tested, and frankly, if you're bleeding to death, you have a much different outlook on being part of a study of artifical blood than you do from you moral/ethical high horse at home </personal>.
