Ladies and Gentlemen, it's red state vs. blue state time again and as Gomer Pyle would say, "Suprise, surprise, surprise," the librul from the People's Republic of Taxachusetts has a big lead.
In the 2000 election people paid way too much attention to the national polls. As we all now know, winning the popular vote a president does not make. So how is the electoral college shaping up. So far so good. According do Zogby (see the story posted in Barron's below) the Senator from Mass. has, so far, 226 solid electorals to the Chimp from Texas' 176, with 136 electorals in play. Looks like good news so far, until you begin to look at the states in play. You tell me the VP slot isn't going to be important this time around!
