John Edwards has had chances to call out Hillary Clinton for saying that she wants to end the war now but won't vote for Sen. Feingold's bill and wants to keep "some" troops in Iraq indefinitely...but he hasn't.
Why not? I have been wondering for a long time. His strategy since 2005 has been to run left and has abandoned his DLC ways. That's why he has suddenly been union's number one guy, Ned Lamont's friend, why he apologized for voting for a war he defended at the time, etc.
So what's the reason? Find out after the break...
He is plotting with Hillary to take down Obama, that's why
ABC News' Teddy Davis and Lindsey Ellerson Report: Democratic rivals Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., and former Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., were caught on tape Thursday privately conferring and agreeing to have their campaigns collaborate.
"Our guys should talk," Clinton said to Edwards.
From the video, from what I gather, Edwards didn't react in horror. Maybe he was just polite, but I doubt it. This is a guy that vote traded with Kucinich in Iowa to go up to second place and distributed negative Dean packets while claiming that he was the positive candidate. Both those moves ensured that he lasted until Super Tuesday and that Kerry's staff picked him as a running mate. (In typical Kerry fashion, he wanted to make a terrible choice, Dick Gephardt)
And who else could HRC and JRE want to go after besides Obama? Richardson? Nah, Richardson is climbing, but is still in fourth place and well behind Edwards. And the rest would be joke.
