I have had it with politicians who do not care for our constitution and country enough to put it above political ambitions.
I am well aware that there have been many diaries written here already in regards to impeachment, with comments both for and against our elected officials starting impeachment hearings. I am sure that there are those here even who are wishing that the calls demanding that our leaders start proceedings or hearings to determine if impeachment is warranted, would just die out or go away. I believe that the demand for it is here to stay and that it will only grow stronger.
I for one have reached the decision with myself that I will not give another dime to nor support in any way any official or candidate that does not start talking of holding this administration to account. There are more reasons for proceeding to impeachment hearings on both Cheney and Bush than is needed or required to make it a matter of up most importance.
Follow me below to see who is speaking our for impeachment now.
When even BRUCE FEIN, who is a staunch conservative is calling for it and saying that our congress is failing to do their duty, it is more than just a politically motivated move. Here is an paragraph from his appearance on Bill Moyers July 13th.
More worrisome than Clinton's-- because he is seeking more institutionally to cripple checks and balances and the authority of Congress and the judiciary to superintend his assertions of power. He has claimed the authority to tell Congress they don't have any right to know what he's doing with relation to spying on American citizens, using that information in any way that he wants in contradiction to a federal statute called the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. He's claimed authority to say he can kidnap people, throw them into dungeons abroad, dump them out into Siberia without any political or legal accountability. These are standards that are totally anathema to a democratic society devoted to the rule of law.
Then you have NORM ORNSTEIN of the American Enterprise Institute has also weighed in and made the following statement during his appearance on the
Diane Rehm show.
I think if we’re going to be intellectually honest here, this really is the kind of thing that Alexander Hamilton was referring to when impeachment was discussed.
Then we have the public who with no more real information than they have express the following poll numbers when asked about impeachment of Bush or Cheney.
Frombreitbart.com
The survey by the American Research Group found that 45 percent support the US House of Representatives beginning impeachment proceedings against Bush, with 46 percent opposed, and a 54-40 split in favor when it comes to Cheney.
So with the situation we have in our country as bad as it is and getting worse as we go along, what are our elected people in Washington doing about it? For the most part with some exceptions they are more worried about political fallout or making some grand political statement with worthless legislation that is worthless because it will never get past a veto.
Yes instead of putting defending our constitution at the forefront, they are more worried about holding onto their seats in the house of congress.
Well their seats in congress are not worth very much if we lose the foundation of our country be letting the actions of this outlaw administration set precedents which will govern all future administrations and their actions.
Perhaps that is why they do not wish to put a stop to this because in their hearts they desire to be able to pull the same shit if they want to.
Nope No more for me.
From this day on until our country is set back on the right path I will not give one dime or walk one step or cast one vote for anyone that does not start supporting impeachment proceedings against this bunch in our White House.
