The recent FP story here from MissLaura tells us that the Iraqi's are ok with us leaving. As she so rightly said,
So to recap: The American people don't want the US in Iraq. The American Congress doesn't want the US in Iraq. The Iraqi government is saying feel free to go.
So here's your homework for Monday: contact the Iraqi embassy in Washington and ask them to formally go before the UN and ask the "coalition" to leave. You might also mention that they should keep control of their oil and negotiate their own deals in a competitive process with the oil multinationals.
If they do that, and Bush still insists on staying until the Oil law is passed, it strips away everything and shows that this was a war for Oil, which makes it much easier to push Bush and Cheney out with impeachment, enhances electability of Democrats, and makes it easier to end the war in congress.
If Bush gives in and pulls out, we've helped save the thousands of killed and wounded American soldiers and the tens of thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of killed and wounded Iraqis that would have happened otherwise.
