I just received an email from Governor Sebelius (D-KS) about the new Democratic Governors Association site. It looks pretty snazzy and appears to be a great way to keep track of who's accomplishing what where, as well as keeping track of upcoming gubernatorial races.
The main part of the email:
Our new site is designed to be a hub where Americans can learn about the innovative policies Democratic governors are pursuing. It's also an election resource for staying up-to-date with the three gubernatorial races this year and the 11 next year.
continued below the fold:
The site includes videos and news articles discussing how governors are moving states forward; an interactive election info-map; and plenty of opportunities for you to sign up and stay involved.
Democratic governors are leading the way on many policy issues, so we are also unveiling a new online policy magazine, "The Advance." The focus of the first edition is the military and what governors are doing to support our troops. I hope you find "The Advance" - and the entire site - helpful in understanding the critical role governors fulfill in national policy discussions.
The Internet's importance to the political process could not be clearer. It creates a virtual town hall where ideas can be discussed and millions of people can learn about those asking for support. The upcoming CNN-YouTube Presidential Debate is one of the latest major examples of how politically pivotal the Internet is.
The online community has been active with the DGA and governors in every corner of the country. I urge you to continue your participation online and on the ground so we can expand our solid majority of Democratic governors and bring common-sense, results-oriented leadership to more Americans.
Not much original content here on my part, I know, but I thought Gov. Sebelius' email spoke for itself. I really like their new site and I hope it becomes another important tool in the Democratic Party's arsenal.
