As I noted in a comment, Bill's front page links (still) to this diary, by occasional diarist Justina, for defending Hugo Chávez. Nothing wrong with that, per se, but of course to his readers that's reason enough to prove his point.
Whether intended or not, it was an pretty good honeypot, because the first couple of pages of comments take the diarist to the woodshed. If his readers click on the link, and if they read the diary, and if they go on to the comments, then... oh, damn, all those filtering "if"s have probably ended up with a statistical 0.1 person.
Better ideas? More discussion below.
The problem with this honeypot is that the readers are likely to take the snark literally.
How about a diary titled Jessica's Law Must Go, with a brief entry saying how I am, personally, going to get all those laws repealed in the interests of the rights of pedophiles in every state? Something so ridiculous (and liable to attract plenty of contravening comments) that they will get the point.
Any other ideas for an effective and illustrative diary?
