I was wondering on this Fourth of July holiday is where do all the Edwards and Obama supporters that proclaim themselves as (democratic leaning/liberal) bloggers live in this country. This information is insightful to myself because it accurately indicates whether these particular candidates will remain competitive in early primary/caucus states and how they would potentially perform in particular states/regions during the general election match-ups.
It's fascinating to know that both Edwards and Obama have solid levels of support in republican/republican leaning dominated areas of the country. However, what interests me is within the blogosphere where is the greatest/least amount of Edwards/Obama support.
As we know, most casual political observers are uninformed; lack of attention to detailed political issues, and commonly make misguided judgments on the candidates. As a result, the uninformed voters view Edwards as a pretty boy (negative connotation), pompous, and arrogant, while Obama is looked upon as grossly inexperienced compared to his competition. However, these perceptions of the two leading online Democratic candidates are more common in Republican/Republican leaning areas of the nation than ones that favor Democrats.
Knowing where the greatest and least amount of Edwards/Obama support geographically exists will better help these candidates excel in the primaries among undecided Democrat/independents and among all Democrats, Independents, and Democratic leaning (Republicans) in the general election. The key of the game is making sure that low information voters are informed and don't vote based on ill-informed misconceptions. We don't need a repeat of the Bush/Cheney Adminstration all over agian in 2008. (Scooter Libby was another reminder of the ignorance of the American people). Oh yea...Hillary is bad for this country too.
