House Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) disclosed elements of the court's decision in remarks Tuesday to Fox News as he was promoting the administration-backed wiretapping legislation. Boehner has denied revealing classified information, but two government officials privy to the details confirmed that his remarks concerned classified information.
And FoxNews aired this? But wha?!

NEIL CAVUTO, HOST: Now to the Senate, where my next guest wants those involved in this story at The New York Times and those who leaked it to be tried for treason. He is Republican Senator Jim Bunning of Kentucky.
SEN. JIM BUNNING, R-KY.: Why? Because they have put all of our troops at risk. And anyone who abets the enemy during a war and helps them should be held responsible.
I couldn't have said it better myself Jimbo.
Billo? Mr. Falafel? What do you have to say to the fact that, your network, FoxNews, aired classified government secrets?
O'Reilly: You know, you can... Look, I have my own web site. We don't... open forum is bull. Alright? You can regulate what's on your web site.
So surely if you can regulate what's on your web site, you can regulate what's broadcast over television, right?
To my understanding, under the FoxNews/GOP rules of engagement, this is treason.
Murdoch is the boss. Its his forum. He should have regulated it. As they, and their like, have called repeatedly for the hanging of the NYT editor for treason, one only wonders what punishment they would feel appropriate for themselves? Perhaps a commuted sentence?
The above was possibly a little on the snarky side. But in all seriousness, how appropriate is it for the GOP to release classified information when it suits their political ambitions?
