So I don't know if this is even an appropriate diary, but I'm going for it anyway because you guys are the smartest, most eloquent guys and gals I know (please help me, please help me, please help me!).
I am hosting a "Coffee and Conversations" event for our Planned Parenthood affiliate (anyone in Hampton Roads who is reading this, come on out!) and my co-host wants me to be the one who speaks. She wants me to talk about what Planned Parenthood means to me. Why I'm involved. Why we are important to the community. Things like that.
But as I'm sitting here putting together my thoughts, I find myself wanting to hear the same thing from you guys. I have read and bookmarked more diaries than I can count from the real life experiences of people on this site. Poignant stories, uplifting stories of what someone will go through to provide women with reproductive health care, stories that make my heart beat faster with rage, and stories that make me want to hug someone through the computer.
So, in a nutshell, would you like to share what Planned Parenthood means to you?
