I'm hearing some flak about how MoveOn was "uncivil," calling Gen. Petraeus "Betray-Us" in their newspaper ad this morning.
Me, I'm not too bothered about this
Now, I can think of a few things that might be "uncivil"... (mind you, the rest of this diary is probably uncivil)
Maybe get a few pictures from Abu Ghraib, caption 'em "A-Bush Ghraib", edit in a smiling Bush-face floating over head. That wouldn't be very civil.
Maybe find the cell-phone video of the stoning death of Du’a Khalil Aswad, and replace a few of the killers' faces with Bush, smiling again. That'd probably be uncivil.
How about a transport plane full of coffins? That picture of the little girl soaked in her parents' blood after US troops shot them in a car? Have Bush floating over Maher Arar as he describes being "renditioned" to Syria and tortured? Those would all be pretty uncivil.
Because, y'know, all of it was so fucking civil before.
