Ok ok ok...now I always thought that one had to actually be a member of the military to get one of those medals since there are plenty of other medals for civilians to earn....such as the Presidential Medal of Freedom.....but noooooo..

Sooooooooo...I went and looked it up..thanks to Google..I found that yes indeed.... the medal is supposed to only go to members of the military..
"Title 18 United States Code. Sec. 1001, entitled "Statements or entries
generally," June 25, 1948, ch. 45, 62 Stat. 749.
10. What are the guidelines for which the medal could be awarded?
10A. On July 25,1963 Congress established a set of guidelines under which the Medal of Honor could be awarded:
a.) while engaged in an action against an enemy of the United States;
b.) while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force; or,
Now I don't know when exactly Tony Blair enlisted.... I don't remember him parachuting into Bagdhad with grenades in his pants and a bowie knife in his teeth..but then again I don't watch Faux News so I probably missed it.
Either way I'm not sure but I'd venture to guess he hasn't been in any hand to hand combat lately....and finally....even if he had....
On of the qualifiers for winning this medal is enough to make him ineligable....The big OR....
c.) while serving with friendly forces engaged in armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the United States is NOT A BELLIGERENT PARTY....
I think that leaves Tony out of this one.
So is this perhaps one of the new Repub stratigies? Denegrate John Kerrys' medals by handing them out to every Tom, Dick and Tony out there .
