Over the past months, it has become quite apparent that things are not going to change in Washington. Perhaps it is because of poor leadership, perhaps it is just too hard to change; the reason or reasons are not relevant to this Diary. Instead, this diary points no fingers to any Democrat, whether a leader or a voter.
Fortunately, last night I listened to Mike Malloy and he, as he often will do, says the exact right thing at the exact right time. Maybe this diary will, by paraphrasing his argument, do likewise for those of you reading it who may have missed the show last night.
The main theme can be described as "Let if Bleed". Naturally, this is counter to our efforts to avoid the bloodshed, but, our efforts have not saved a single life; the number of troops in Iraq is actually higher now than it was before the elections in 2006, and there is no end in sight. It can be argued that our efforts have emboldened our enemies in the Republican Party to increase their natural inclination for blood and death to a higher point than it would be at without our efforts.
If anyone is still reading this, i can hear them say 'Why? Are you out of your fucking mind!' Bear with me.
The enemy is the fucking Republican Party. So, the argument is, let them keep going! Let them wallow in the death and destruction they crave. Let them breath in the death and the destruction of America, its troops, its reputation, its youth, its future. For they are causing it and we have failed in stopping them.
Republicans are, by definition, deficient of core aspects of what it means to be a human. To be a Republican and to support the Bush Crime Family in 2007 is so criminal and morally wrong, that anyone who does so is lacking in any sense of empathy, compassion, or reasoning. And, each day it is proven to us. Yesterday, these fucking animals actually blocked a legitimate vote on whether the concept of habeas corpus---a concept dating back to 1215, that has remained in its pristine state for all of these years---ought to be returned to American law where it was ripped from by the Republican Party in late 2006. These filthy bastards, these miserable lawless cretins in the Republican Party said 'no!'. Today, these filthy bastards said 'no' to Feingold-Reid.
Over the next few months, Senator Reid has promised to have more of these votes on similar anti-war provisions, and the result will be identical to yesterday. If any pass, they shall be non-binding and toothlessly void of meaning.
The Democrats tried, the Republicans failed, and America lost.
Say what you will about Pelosi and Reid--I know I have!--but, today, lets give them the benefit of the doubt in their efforts, and lets look outward. Lets agree that the chances of garnering the 'sixty is the new fifty-one' votes in order to stop necessary elements of the war machine from going forward is nil, and that the remainder of this version of the Bush Crime Family will continue unabated until January 2009.
So, what do we do? Continue to fight the good fight and lose and get kicked in the teeth for our trouble, or stop. Just stop and let these ugly maggots, these wretched pigs, drown in the blood and the tragedy that they so badly need. Let us give America full-blown Republican Party carnage. Let everyone in America know what these fucking animals stand for by giving their leadership free reign to kill anywhere on the globe, domestically or internationally; wire-tap everyone from nine to ninety; imprison whomever they want for whatever they decide needs it to protect the homeland; torture brown people, white people, black people, just because they can; let them ban political speech; let them use gps to locate us anywhere we go; let them hang the fucking ten commandments from every grade school in America; let them attack Iran, Algeria, the Sudan, Pakistan and Columbia University!
Let America drink unabated from the fire-hose of Republicanism until they scream for it to be stopped!
The animals in the Republican party, these blood-thirsty murderers, will continue to have their daily requirements of blood served to them in buckets from the flesh of the brown and the white people they send to die for their corporations and their lust for empire. And, if this the case, despite our efforts to change the wicked path they have chosen for our country, then, let them go all the way to their own hell. Fuck these war-mongering deviants. They do not share any of the human emotions that matter to us. They have no empathy for the poor, the downtrodden, the oppressed of the world. They do not even have empathy for those categories of Americans who vote for them and pay their salaries and live by their laws; it should come as no surprise that they treat the brown Arabs as they do.
Do we stop forever? No! Our reward shall come to us in 2008 when a dozen of these filthy bastard Senators get thrown to the curb by an America that simply cannot stand it any longer. Let everyone know what we know. Let the neighbor down the street be visited by the FBI for showing up at the wrong rally, or subscribing to the wrong magazine, or being a member of the wrong group. We know that it is only Once the Democratic Party reaches 61 senators that we can attack the past eight years of of filthy Republicanism and demolish all remnants of their crimes with real legislation, real law, and real government!
But, dear readers, the stench of death that we who know better when we look at Graham, Kyl, Cornyn, McCain and their filthy cohorts must grow stronger before the general population of America smells the death on their breath when they run for re-election. Let the bodies return to Middle America at the rate the Republican Party only fantasizes about! Let them go 'all in' as we know they really want, and lets see how well they do in 2008 and beyond.
In the meantime, Congress can concentrate on other matters, e.g., investigations into the crimes of the bush crime family; fixing infrastructure; health care; education; and labor issues. But, as for spending day after day trying to convince Republicans to act as if they are human beings is not worth the effort. It is quite obvious that they have no interest in joining the human race, let alone the international community of states that follow the rule of law and respect the human rights of all people.
