Americans visit doctors for a check up and 90%(?) of the time they are given a drug prescription as the remedy.
Americans simply believe what their doctors tell them, they rush to the pharmacy to buy the drugs they see advertised 24/7 on the TV, consume the drugs as defined, and days later feel better (probably the placebo affect), but down the road the same old problem returns. Back to the doctor again, another chat, and this time let's try another type of drug.
What a wonderful cycle...for the doctors and the drug companies!!
I know I am generalizing here but there is a method to my madness...
Here are my rhetorical questions;
What have people done for themselves to have a healthier life??
Do they maintain a healthy lifestyle?
Do they smoke, drink alcohol, or do drugs?
Are they height and weight proportional?
Do they have good nutritional habits?
Do they exercise?
Do they read and learn about disease and drugs?
Are they cognizant about their own bodies?
Can they understand the body function?
Can they pay attention to anomalies and adjust something in their daily life to feel better?
If a significant portion of the US population cannot intellectually connect with the rhetorical questions above, and if they cannot stop the vicious and reckless cycle of poor health and drug remedies, then I guess people will rely 100% on the FDA and the health of this nation will simply continue it's downhill spiral.
And since physical health is directly connected to mental health, it seems as our physical health deteriorates, the more difficult it will be for us to find the energy and intellect and logic and common sense, etc. to help resolve major issues.
Years ago, for our kids, there used to be these logos that stated; Just Say No To Drugs.
Well, I think every American who is caught up in the cycle of prescription drugs needs to start wearing a big red button on their chest that says; Just Say No To Drugs!!
