Have you ever noticed how, whenever the Republicans are going to do something wrong - pull a dirty trick or do something unethical, immoral or unpatriotic, they first accuse the Democrats of doing whatever it is they're going to do. That way, when the Democrats point out that the Republicans are cheating, lying or stealing, it looks like a "No I'm not, you are," kind of response, which is weak. The initial accuser is the attacker and therefor, by definition, the responder is on the defensive. The Republicans accuse the Democrats of playing politics with national security, then they raise the threat levels just before the elections. They accuse the Democrats of being weak on defense, and then they squander our blood and treasure on an uneccessary war. They accuse the Dem's of playing class warfare, then they attack the weakest among us, illegal immigrants and throw money at the rich. I don't know how Dem's can combat this strategy. It appears nearly perfect.
