And, by gaming, I don't mean gambling.
I've been getting some commentary and requests involving throwing down with y'all in some old-school Advanced Dungeons and Dragons action.
I had some vague idea of bringing an old module and running something one of the evenings - but then I thought I'd better bring it to y'all.
By the way, Timroff and Dania Audax have seats at Mrs. Moody's game - they asked first.
So, I'm throwing up a quick diary and a poll, how many games, what systems, and when do you all want to play? If I'm going to write an adventure or three, especially if we're going to do original adventures and not modules, we need to get started now.
In fact, seeing all the options, I'm going to post a game system poll first, and then tomorrow post a diary for number of games and times.
Either one of us can run most of these games - Grimm and Changeling would be Mrs. Loner, while Mutants and Masterminds would be me.
Also, this will be used to gauge demand, so if you want to play, want to run something, or otherwise participate, please comment.
What the options on the polls mean:
Morning: Starting 10 AM, ending 2 PM - Definitely kid-friendly.
Afternoon: Starting about 1 PM ending about 5 PM - Also definitely kid-friendly.
Evening: Starting about 5 PM, ending probably about 10PM. - Probably kid-friendly.
Night: Starting 8 PM, ending 1 or 2 AM or when we can't take any more. Probably not kid-friendly.
Systems:
First Edition: Old-school Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. I'll let you know if Unearthed Arcana is used.
Second Edition: Second Edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons.
3.5: The (as of this writing) current version of Dungeons and Dragons.
Fourth Edition: The latest version of Dungeons and Dragons, due to be released June 2008.
Hero System (Champions): The Fifth Edition, Revised of the popular superhero game, Champions.
Mutants and Masterminds: A popular superhero system based loosely on 3.5 D&D, and a game that I have neither run nor played at this writing.
Grimm d20: A variant of D&D involving Grimm's Fairy Tales.
Changeling: The White Wolf Storyteller System game involving the Fair Folk.
Also, if you want to play something else (or run something else) let me know in the comments below. I may own it and be willing to run it. I'd be interested in playing systems I don't have, but time and financial pressures will keep me from running something I don't already have.
