I think Ronald Reagan changed the trajectory of America in a way that Richard Nixon did not and in a way that Bill Clinton did not. He put us on a fundamentally different path because the country was ready for it. I think they felt like with all the excesses of the 1960s and 1970s and government had grown and grown but there wasn't much sense of accountability in terms of how it was operating. I think people, he just tapped into what people were already feeling, which was we want clarity we want optimism, we want a return to that sense of dynamism and entrepreneurship that had been missing.
Barack Obama
Really? People were feeling that REAGAN offered clarity and optimism?!? You know, it looked like he offered Neo-Con fear and muddled ignorance to myself and anyone else that actually paid attention to what was going on during the corrupt, inept and slogan filled wingnut Reagan administration.
For those of you who don't remember, or didn't pay attention to the actual incredible evil that was visited on our country during the Reagan administration, I would suggest you actually use the Google to upgrade or update your knowledge.

Let me introduce you to the President who had nothing to say but was fed slogans by his neo-con puppet masters via teleprompter. All St. Ronnie had to do was be a B-Movie actor and deliver his lines. The point here being, Reagan was not an agent of change, clarity or optimism. He was an agent of fear as well as the President that caused the true downward spiral of our country.
Some St. Ronnie quotes:
My fellow Americans, I am pleased to tell you I just signed legislation which outlaws Russia forever. The bombing begins in five minutes. (Said during a radio microphone test, 1984)
Republicans believe every day is 4th of July, but Democrats believe every day is April 15.
Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.
We're the party that wants to see an America in which people can still get rich.
Our friends in the other party will never forgive us for our success, and are doing everything in their power to rewrite history. Listening to the liberals, you'd think that the 1980s were the worst period since the Great Depression, filled with suffering and despair. I don't know about you, but I'm getting awfully tired of the whining voices from the White House these days. They're claiming there was a decade of greed and neglect, but you and I know better than that. We were there.
Yeah, well we were there too, Ronnie. Barack must have been busy doing other things, because it would seem he wasn't there considering the quote he made above.
We were there Ronnie, and all you did was corrupt the essence of our country with your scandals, your lies, your incredible incompetence and your ability to stand at a podium and quote Wingnut Slogans with a smirk on your face.
We give Chimpy Mc Flightsuit some serious shit for being the same person as St. Ronnie. The difference? Chimpy is no actor and he has the karma of everything he touches turns to shit. Other than that, basically it is the same Presidency. The only real difference is that St. Ronnie didn't take the full frontal assualt on our country as far as Cheney/Bush did. But his administration sure was the poster boy for what Cheney/Bush decided to do to this country. Oh, and Ronnie fought the war's that HE started with surrogates instead of American troops.
The bottom line. Ignorance is bliss in the Obama campaign it would seem. Making these kind of statements just absolutely pisses off those of us who not only know better, but know that he should also.
Anyone that wants to tell me that this is not the case, I truly suggest you use the Google as I mentioned above. If you do not have a real understanding of the situation I am discussing and just want to defend something, don't bother. Get informed and then we can discuss. Thanks!
