It is very obvious to me that the Democratic Party has passed the point of no return; there is a big crack dividing the Democratic Party electorate.
The people already chose their sides between Hillary and Obama, and whomever survive the battle and becomes the Democratic Party nominee – that person is doomed in the November 2008 election – enough people will be pissed that his/her candidate lost and they are going to boycott the election or they are going to vote for the Republican Party nominee, or for a the 3dr party candidate.
You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out, but again the Democratic Party is becoming an expert organization on how to lose major elections.
In the other hand John McCain and the Republican Party must be feeling very good that the Democratic Party is going to hand them the election in November of 2008. Divide and Conquer – and the Republicans win another election. What a piece of cake.
For The New York Times to run this story on the front page that means that the problem has already reached a crisis mode and the division has passed the point of no return.

Democratic Party – How to Win in November 2008.
The Democratic Party is left with only one solution available at this point that it will help them win the election in November 2008 – and that would be a compromise that would help unite the party for the November 2008 election – There is only one way for the Democratic Party to win in November – to draft the presidential ticket of Al Gore / John Edwards.
Democratic Party ticket: Al Gore for president and John Edwards as his vice president.
Also under the new agreement Hillary Clinton becomes the Democratic leader in the senate and Barack Obama becomes the new Secretary of State under the compromise.
If Al Gore is not the Democratic Party nominee for the November 2008 election then don’t waste your money and time with an election that is going down the toilet. Start thinking and making plans for the next election in 2012 since John McCain might be a one-term president.
The choice for the Democratic Party is very simple for November 2008 – Al Gore or John McCain – one of these two will become the new president.
Another clue for the Democratic Party: I am 100 percent sure that if the election in November 2008 is Al Gore vs. John McCain – Al Gore will win the election with a mandate.

"Democrats Look for Way to Avoid Convention Rift"
By DON VAN NATTA Jr. and JO BECKER
Published: February 16, 2008
Former Vice President Al Gore and a number of other senior Democrats plan to remain neutral for now in the presidential race in part to keep open the option to broker a peaceful resolution to what they fear could be a bitterly divided convention, party officials and aides said Friday.
Democratic Party officials said that in the past week Mr. Gore and other leading Democrats had held private talks as worry mounted that the close race between Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton could be decided by a group of 795 party insiders known as superdelegates.
The signs that party elders are weighing whether and how to intervene reflects the extraordinary nature of the contest now and the concern among some Democrats that they not risk an internal battle that could harm the party in the general election....
...At a private dinner that Mr. Edwards, a former senator, held at his home last Saturday for a dozen close friends, he said he had spoken recently with Mr. Gore about the benefits of neutrality, someone who was at the dinner said. Although a number of his supporters had been urging him to endorse Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton has actively sought his backing, Mr. Edwards said he intended to remain on the fence for the time being, the person said.
A senior associate of Mr. Gore’s said that surrogates for Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Obama had tried to lock up the former vice president’s endorsement. But he has steadfastly refused to even hint at which candidate he might favor.
