Watching the Clinton campaign grasp for straws as it attacks Obama day after day on non-substantive matters is actually sad.
Barak Obama has never said he deserves to be elected President on the basis of his extraordinary speaking skills. His claim as a candidate is good judgment. His use of the argument of Governor Patrick noting that inspirational statements go beyond "just words" shows a deep understanding of history and the good judgement to remind people of history and when certain words have mattered.
The Clinton campaign's problem is that Hillary does not have the ability to inspire people other than as a representative of womens' aspirations for a woman president (which is an aspiration that deserves respect).
She can impress people with her obvious intelligence and knowledge of issues. But she is not an inspiring leader.
Her husband once had the ability to inspire, although he is quickly squandering his reputation for insight and verbal mastery with his inane and off-center attacks on Obama.
The claim that Obama is somehow flawed because he can be inspiring is absurd on its face.
