When the primaries are over, Obama will lead in elected delegates, popular votes, and contests won. The majority of the undecided superdelegates will then go for Obama, and it will be impossible for anyone (even Mark Penn) to argue that the nomination has been stolen.
Conversely, imagine the supers decide to overturn Obama's popular vote, elected delegates, and contests won, and hand the nomination to Senator Clinton. Every Obama supporter would believe (rightly) that the nomination had been stolen. There would be a gaping wound inflicted upon the Democratic Party. It is a very unattractive scenario.
This is why the supers will complete Obama's nomination. Clinton supporters will be unhappy, but none will be able to claim he won unfairly.
