Our weekly diary series on fitness continues today on the subject of making your workout better.
I have a few tips, hints and suggestions on how to improve your current workout.

Tip 1 get a coach.
Coaches are an amazing tool. They provide you with motivation and encouragement and they can point things out when you do something wrong. They often charge but they are generally worth the price. Sometimes if you join a team or club they provide you with a coach.
Tip 2 Get a partner or team
This is more of that motivation thing. If you have a workout partner then you are more likely to complete your workout, actually workout and you often exercise harder. If you are accountable for someone other then yourself you are less likely to skip an exercise. Working with other people allows you to celebrate more successes and have more people celebrate your success. And other people can be good inspirations.
Tip 3. Listen to Music
Runners World, Men's Fitness, Muscle and Fitness and Self all did studies that people exercise harder, stronger, faster and better when listening to music. Invest in a portable music player and get some music you enjoy and put in on there. I like putting on high tempo music that gets me energized and keeps me going. This doesn't work for everyone. You are the best judge of what works for you and you should experiment.
Tip 4 Record what you do
Create a training log. Put in online as a blog, keep it an notebook put in on your computer. Just keep a record so you can look at one you have done. You can show people or just amaze yourself at your accomplishments. Some people keep full diaries full of emotions, the weather and what they did others put less. Do what feel comfortable for you. I encourage you to post to this diary what you plan on doing this week for exercise.
Tip 5. Celebrate your accomplishments.
After reaching a milestone celebrate it somehow. Buy a new piece of equipment, go on vacation, go out for dinner. Celebrate accomplishments encourage you to continue. Finishing some exercise is a great opportunity to dance.
Tip 6 Go to bed.
People exercise less and don't use proper form when they are tired. Sleep more reduce fatigue. When you body sleeps your body can heal itself. Don't shortchange your sleep
Tip 7. Drink more water.
Keep yourself hydrated, drink less junk keeps you healthier. People drink lots of empty calories not to mention drinking things like soda that actually makes you thirstier.
Tip 8 Read
reading burns calories then watching tv in general but I am more referring to reading inspirational stories and or stories about people doing the type of exercise you like doing. this created extra motivation.
Tip 9 Find an exercise you really like
People are more likely to do the exercise they like doing then one they don't. Because if given the choice of an apple or orange we would choose differently the same is true with exercise.
Tip 10 just go.
Exercising is that simple. Just Go.
