John McCain is just like Bush only older. Like Bush, he fell up because it was his "birth right." Like Bush, McCain was born into an old American elite family that granted success to a man who otherwise would have probably been stuck a low level corporate position if he tried really hard and alcohol or other addictions didn't land him on the pavement.
McCain was born into an affluent family with a Naval tradition. he was admitted to Annapolis because his grandfather and father were alumni and admirals. Like Bush, McCain would have never been admitted otherwise. He graduated at the bottom of his class because he didn't have the intelligence nor the will and curiosity to study. At least John served in the armed forces (but then it was the family business). However, John retired because it was very clear he was never going to attain the rank of Admiral. His career was not stellar. Unlike other prisoners of war, he capitalized on his POW status to run for office because he was not qualified for anything else.
McCain has the same mean-spirited juvenile humor, BMOC attitude as Bush. They both seem to have a problem with controlling their tempers and are bullies. They take no responsibility for their actions (Keating Five, campaign finance anyone?) and believe they are entitled to be above the law. They are dumber than dirt and don't see the need to learn anything important about their work. Who doesn't know that there are Shia and Sunni in Iraq and that they have been enemies for centuries? Does he know who the Kurds are? Their idea of foreign policy is to swagger and bellow. As we can see, that's not working too well.
If by some miracle, McCain wins, it really would be four more years of Bush only a lot older and aging fast. Can we please try a president who is intelligent and hard working for a big change?
