It’s been weeks even months since I could stomach reading Daily KOS. It’s not because this board is so openly biased for Obama, it is the vitriol and hate that spews out against Senator Clinton.
For the record I really don’t care who our nomination is as long as they can win in November.
I like Obama. I can and will support him if he is the nominee. He is young, bright and energetic. Untarnished by years of experience, he has the ability to put together a powerful administration.
I can stomach Hillary Clinton. History will record Bill as one of the most effective Presidents of our time. I’d vote for Bill, but Hill is not Bill. Regardless, the Clintons are a powerful force and I would be proud to support them in November.
Electronic media including blogs and services like KOS, have brought progressive thinkers together. However, many of these new voices are inexperienced and as idealistic as the religious right has been in the past. Single minded, arrogance that defeats compromise and cooperation can do more damage than new cash, organizers and voters.
Witness the experience with Lieberman. Netroots were successful in denying him the Democratic nomination but could not defeat him in the general. Arguably, as an Independent he became more powerful than ever, resulting in twice the son of Hell as before.
I glad there is such passion for Obama on this board. I cannot waste my time however with constant anti Hillary rants. I long to see some real analysis from a wide spectrum of thought. Immature name calling of our own doesn’t advance anybody.
