Looks like the Rethuglican politics of fear are losing their appeal in the heartland. Today's USA today has a full page ad on the back of the business section from Harley-Davidson. The message:
"We don't do fear. Over the last 105 years in the saddle we've seen wars, conflicts, depression, recession, and revolutions. We've watched a thousand hand-wringing pundits disappear in our rear view mirror. But every time, this country has come out stronger than before.... Fear sucks, and it doesn't last long.
Hope and confidence, not fear and cowardice -- sounds like our man Barack has some new fans. Obama campaign take note: if you want to score some points with the white working class demographic, work that ad into Barack's stump speech.
