This is a song from Hip Hop artist and Movie star, Ice Cube. Some of the images may be shocking but I think that's his point. Especially in light of a culture who blames everyone else but themseleves.
When done correctly, hip hop adds tremendous social commentary to the current social condition. Early pioneers like Melle Mel, Public Enemy, Kurtis Blow, KRS1, even NWA really showed us the affect drugs and violence had in the inner city. When it was appropriated by big money corporations, then the social commentary turned to bravado and hip hop died a little. People like Common, Nas, Immortal Technique, Dead Prez, etc. keep the true meaning of hip hop alive.
