and it took Jon Stewart to do it? There are many here on Kos who in the past few weeks and months have posted in response to mine and other Hillary supporters' diaries that there was no sexism in the coverage of Hillary by the MSM.
This rumor of sexism was just a myth. That Hillary supporters searched analyzed and scrutinized every word and syllable searching for a hint, a glint, a shred of something that could be misconstrued to be sexist. I, myself, was told time and time again by posters to my diaries show us where this sexism is. Prove it. Give us examples. And, most of course, said you can’t use Chris Mathews since he is obviously sexist. I saw one comment here and one there. One time Keith Olberman, or one time Tucker Carlson. But I didn't write each one down and record it for the record.
But after it got to be so blatant, I actually thought about trying to find some way to do this. I don’t have access to every news story or source. I have to work for a living at something other than blogging and watching news. So I never could devote the time and money needed. I had hoped that after the passage of the primary season that someone would research it. And they have. Just not who I thought it would be but the perfect one to do it.
Yes the coverage of Hillary by the MSM was such a joke why not let the jokester news show air it for all to see. On last night’s daily show, in a great bit, they showed just some (maybe 10 or 15) outright sexist comments made by pundits and newscasters alike. And no sorry, they were not all on Fox. So to answer the question of show me where the sexists remarks were I can now simply say—I refer you to the Daily Show of June 5, 2008. Thank you Jon Stewart!
