This morning on Morning Joe, the bs governor of my great state of Florida Charlie Crist (who is killing state jobs and slashing all kinds of research funding in the state, because of a lame property tax bill that undermines the state and which funds are made back up by county level taxes so there really is no real tax savings for homeowners)
Anyway he use that stupid excuse about Mccain's comments on Iraq. That "we have been in Korea for a long time". So the argument that as long as we aren't taking casualties is somehow a sound general argument is flat out reckless. Why?
Its very simple, so tell your simple friends...
- We CANNOT afford to stay in Iraq even without causalities, we cannot afford to help rebuild much of Iraq, and we cannot afford to keep spending money for just on our troops, but contractors who do piss poor jobs. We must make a harder argument for that imperialistic stance Mccain has taken in Iraq and how that is and will be killing our economy.
- The image of us being here is not a good thing at all. It causes future fiction in that Muslim world. For us to do a half ass job does nothing, and we cannot afford to do the kind of job it would take to overhaul that entire country. We must come to terms with this.
The idea of holding down Iraq for oil is like a junky trying to keep an unstable cracked out drug dealer that has limited sources hostage.
