The naysayers complain "we don't know ernough about this guy."
Buchanan labels him "an empty suit"
The right wing wackos will be using much worse terms and warn us about trusting our national security to an unknown quanitity. I am not worried about these types because Americans in general don't buy what they are peddling any more.
But what about the sincere Independents, Undecideds and "open-minded" Republicans yes Virgina there some open-minded GOP'ers who don"t like their own nominee, McCain, but are hesitant about backing Obama because they don't really know him?
I will, in the next few weeks, post some background data about Obama which may help us when we are trying to enlighten these voters:
- He was born in Hawaii, not Kenya.
- His Father, also Barack, was born in Kenya of the Luo tribe in a place called Alego.
- His Mother, Ann Dunham was born in Kansas.
- Obama's parents met at The University of Hawaii where both were enrolled in a Russian langauge course. They wed a few months later.
- His Father left his Mother when Obama was two
- His Stepfather, Lolo, an Indonesian married Obama's Mother when Barack was six. Barack lived in Indonesia for four years.
- For those three years in Indonesia,Obama's mother home-schooled him.
- When he was ten, Obama moved back to Hawaii and lived with his maternal grandparents,"Toot" and "Gramps" for several years. They enrolled him in a prestigious private prep school, Punahou Academy. The Academy specialized in multicutural courses.
8.Following high school, Obama moved to Los Angeles, where he studied at Occidental College for two years.
9.He then transferred to Columbia University in New York City, where he majored in political science with a specialization in international relations. Obama graduated with a B.A. from Columbia in 1983, then worked at Business International Corporation and New York Public Interest Research Group.[
10.After four years in New York City, Obama moved to Chicago in 1985 to work as a community organizer for three years.
I will continue this thread in upcoming diaries.Of course, if you are going to be working on the ground in the campaign, you should purchase Barack's memoir,"Dreams from My Father."
