Hey Kossacks,
Senator Feingold recorded a special thank you video which I just sent to TrueMajority.org/USAction members for all their work opposing telecom immunity. But this video is actually meant for all of us - a thank you because we won another improbable victory last week and a reminder of what's at stake.

(Full Disclosure: I am the Online Organizing Manager at TrueMajority.org/USAction)
Over the past week, TrueMajority.org members have made over 15,000 phone calls and sent 29,000 emails to Senators in opposition to telecom immunity. The coalition effort against telecom immunity has been unprecedented.
I want to give a shout out to Senator Feingold's Progressive Patriots Fund which is always fighting the good fight and put together this incredible video from the Senator, EFF and the ACLU for leading the charge in the courts, my friends at Democracy for America who made thousands of calls last week, our very own McJoan, Glenn Greenwald, Jane Hamsher, The Strange Bedfellows, Credo Action, and everyone else who has been leading this fight against warrantless wiretapping.
Our next step here at TrueMajority.org is cutting radio ads to run in Connecticut and Wisconsin thanking Senators Dodd and Feingold for standing up and leading the fight against telecom immunity.
Remember to remind Senators that there is a reward if they do the right thing. Here's the sort of positive in-district press they can look forward to if they decide to stand up for the constitution.
Dodd opposes telecom immunity
Connecticut Post, CT - Jun 27, 2008
"I urge my colleagues to take this time to listen to their constituents and consider the dangerous precedent that would be set by granting retroactive immunity to the telecommunications companies that may have engaged in President Bush's illegal wiretapping program," he said. Senators received more than 13,000 calls last week urging them to delay the FISA vote through TrueMajority.org, the online arm of USAction, a politically progressive nonprofit organization.
Feingold to filibuster warrantless wiretapping bill
The Capital Times, WI - Jun 24, 2008
"We are going to resist this bill," he said. "We are going to make sure that the procedural votes are gone through. In other words, a filibuster is requiring 60 votes to proceed to the bill, 60 votes to get closure on the legislation. We will also --- Senator Dodd and I and others -- will be taking some time to talk about this on the floor. We're not just going to let it be rubber-stamped."
Thanks to everyone for all the continued work on FISA. Let’s take advantage of this latest delay and keep up the pressure in support of stripping telecom immunity from the legislation.
Let's use the next week and a half to turn up the heat on Senators all across the country.
