McCain
After another week of negativity, McCain is beginning to reap the whirl wind, and his surrogates having to field questions about the tone of the campaign, every action has made look Obama presidential.
Initially McCain goaded Obama to travel abroad, which he did, and all it did was elevate the Democratic nominee, to a person at ease on the world stage. How does the saying go, be careful, what you wish for.
With the last few negative ads, dismissed as humor by McCain ( then again, Conservatives think Dennis Miller is funny ) Obama has been pressured to go negative, and fight fire with fire, however, even with a media whirlwind swirling around him, he stood tall, rolled with the punches and refused to sink to McCain's level.
On Saturday, Barack did two important things, one, he turned the other cheek and and defended McCain as misguided, but not racist. The second thing he did, was to deliver a powerful speech to the Urban League, and set out a position on education, that put an ocean of clear water between him and McCain.
McCain had used his speech at the Urban League to have a pop at Obama, and firebomb the public education system. McCain has no problem finding money for defence contractors, but not for a crumbling school.
The minute Obama goes negative, he loses his core support, who at this moment, are pounding the streets, spreading change and hope.
