This is just a drive-by diary but as a runner, I spend a lot of time looking at athletic shoes, and I thought that the ones James Carville is wearing in this image say something, like "FU!" for example, to the Democratic Party.
The shoes are made by Puma. I used to wear them in the 70s before my feet grew to the point that I needed New Balance.
I'm really trying to understand his motivations here. If the man's on TV it's unlikely that the camera is going to pan as far down as his feet. So I can only interpret this as a message from Hilary's disgruntled supporters to the party at large - "We're not ready to make nice."
I'm not crazy about the hem on his trousers either - it seems a little high to me - but I suppose a man from Louisiana can be forgiven for wearing flood pants.
