This is what the 50 State Strategy looks like:
That's unity. That's Nebraska in 2008, with Democratic candidates Scott Kleeb, Jim Esch, Heath Mello and Jeremey Nordquist and their supporters working side by side to encourage early voting in working-class South Omaha. That hasn't happened in a long time in Nebraska.
Doesn't that make you feel good to be a Democrat?
Scott Kleeb, Jim Esch, Jeremy Nordquist and Heath Mello are all Nebraska Democrats running in 2008.
What you see in that video is Democrats working together in Omaha. These candidates and their supporters gathered and canvassed side by side with one goal in mind: getting voters in South Omaha, a Democratic bastion with historically low voter turn out, to participate in early voting this election.
If you have five minutes tonight, I'd ask that you check out the websites I linked above and think about how far we've come since 2004. Scott Kleeb is running for United States Senate in Nebraska. Jim Esch is running for U.S. Congress in Nebraska's 2nd District and exciting candidates like Heath Mello and Jeremy Nordquist are running for Nebraska's State Legislature. All of these candidates are committed to putting Nebraska first in 2008, and that means giving Nebraskans a real choice this election.
You can be a part of what's happening here in Nebraska. This is the 50-State Strategy in action and it proves one thing:
2008 is a great year to be a Democrat.
