Interestingly enough there is a difference of opinion in this election. The Repubs have decided that this election will not be about the issues, but about personalities.
The Dems are determined that this election will be about the issues, not character attacks....
It's 60 plus days to election and the battle is on for the white house!
I am amazed by the balls of the repubs that feel that when they say something it becomes a reality, when that is far from truth. In the WaPo, McCains manager said this"
Rick Davis, campaign manager for John McCain's presidential bid, insisted that the presidential race will be decided more over personalities than issues during an interview with Post editors this morning.
"This election is not about issues," said Davis. "This election is about a composite view of what people take away from these candidates."

As we know, Obama is about the issues, because as he states repeatedly, it not about him, it's about us. Sooooo... we have only began to hear POW stories, "maverickness madness", "reformed reformers" and such. I guess the cheerleading will began in earnest next week. Gee, I really am worn out already about the Hanoi Hilton and can't imagine how they will expand.
One thing I am confident of, Obama will not change his strategy!! He will continue to ram the issues of eight years of neglect, sorry stewardship, absymal leadership down the Repubs throats. John McCain, the twin of Bush, will have to fight every step of the way to overcome the Bush/judgement issues. Obama slapped him hard on national security in his acceptance speech last week, and I suspect there is much more where that came from.
If the Repubs were smart and paid attention in the primaries, they would have realized that Obama is disciplined, not easily swayed from his path and most importantly, he is no punk!! He will stick to the issues and they will have to defend!! They will not decide his agenda, he will steer his own ship.
