I know, I know, I should leave this stuff to the professionals, and I'm not at all being critical of the Obama campaign, especially since I'm not privy to internal polling and focus groups and what not.
That said, I woke up this morning ANGRY about the tenor of this campaign, and what is the Internet good for if not creative venting. So with that said, here's an ad I'd like to see:
TITLE: "Get serious"
(V/O the text on screen)
"I'm not convinced we are winning it in Afghanistan" - Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
(Cut to)
"Recession fears are back with 6.1 percent unemployment." - Kansas City Star
(Cut to)
"Taxpayers foot bill for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac buyout." - ABC News
Announcer: And what does John McCain want to talk about? Lipstick.
Obama on screen: Americans are facing real problems. It's time that they got the political debate they deserve. Enough with the games. Enough with the lies and distortions. It's time to get serious. I'm Barack Obama and I approved this message because I think Americans want solutions, not dishonest politics.
