Sorry that this will be short, but I feel that it needs saying.
The editors/front pagers of this site are doing a terrible job of trying to shape a media narrative. I know, I know this is not an official campaign operation, but there are very few ways to shape a narrative with a left leaning frame. (actually just truthful--- the truth does have a liberal bias as we all know). This site is way too scattershot, and the only person that seems to understand shaping a media narrative is Kos. When the scandal he wanted to push was "lying about earmarks" he pushed it, with every post he made... over and over. Frankly, that's the kind of message discipline this site MUST have.
I know there are, like, a billion different scandals and lies to choose from, but the only way for ANY of them to gain traction or to shape a narrative is to HAMMER ONE. I firmly believe that, until it gets frenzied media coverage, the story pushed should be "Palin made rape victims pay for their own rape kits". It's easy to understand, sensational, and opens the door for a general narrative of "gee this woman seems nice, but actually she has a heart of pure stone. Bad priorities." (It even opens up the door for crony hiring and firing). This is what we need. The front pagers need to get their act together and coordinate a message, instead of just posting on whatever random tidbit strikes their fancy. Like it or not, one way to push a meme on the trad. med. is get the "blogs buzzing" about a specific topic. This site has too much of a valuable utility to be squandered. Let's get some message coordination here, with links for all of us to "report" the story to media at the bottom of EVERY post that has a strong fact rather than editorial basis. We are the framers we've been waiting for. (hypocritical note-- I don't have any actual news or links to post in this diary because I've got class shortly and frankly don't have the time. On the other hand, my job isn't essentially to post here so...)
