Commentators bashing McCain is starting to turn from an act of integrity into a bandwagon. I think columnists at this point are worried about being left behind. The media revolt is in full force.
It's a pretty hard-hitting column, partially because Cohen was once a fan of the good senator.
"I am one of the journalists accused over the years of being in the tank for McCain. Guilty. Those doing the accusing usually attributed my feelings to McCain being accessible. This is the
journalist-as-puppy school of thought: Give us a treat, and we will leap into a politician's lap."
Yeah, that's often my opinion of the media too.
