Looks like the troopergate inquiry is hitting some bumps!. This is coming in the heels of John Harris caving in to the McCain camp.
While we certainly are not surprised, it seems that the Republicans in the bi-partisan panel that authorized the investigation are starting to come home to their partisan base. With the democrats being outnumber 8-4 (if I recall correctly) will this mean the investigation is inevitably postponed or squashed (though less likely)?
What if the McCain camp wins one and this gets postponed after November 4th?
I think some (prominent) democrats need to high-light troopergate even more, calling on it REPEATEDLY as something that were already underway before McCain picked Palin, thus raising the vetting controversy again? Or should these dems keep hammering the fact that the McCain camp has something to hide? Perhaps even raising doubts about Palin's preparedness for VP by casting her as something not straight-forward, Cheney'esquely secretive, and too green to even face tough questions like from the press?
The possibilities are vast, hopefully the dem surrogates (not Obama camp) will use this to their advantage!
