...obama supporters, we've all defended our candidate against people saying he'd get swiftboated and that he'd sink. we've said he could stand up to the racism and republican attack machine.
...well, here we go.
...if obama can stand up to these attacks and still beat the clintons, then i have no qualms about him entering the general election.
...make no mistake, the clintons are playing take no prisoners, cutthroat politics. they see their political dynasty on the verge of slipping away and they'll do whatever underhanded tricks are necessary to keep their power. it's not about obama, per se, it's about the clintons and wanting to keep hold of the reins of power.
(i'm sorry, clinton supporters, for characterizing your candidate in such terms, but with the constant streamof attacksand distortionscoming from the clintonsas of recent... well, i know politics is dirty, but this seems like something extra.)
...does that sound familiar? it's exactly what we hear about the corporate interests and the republicans. obama HAS to step up and answer these attacks. this IS the swiftboating we've been hearing about, or at least a healthy preview of what the republicans will bring. they're lying about his record, impugning his character, and laughing at his qualifications. if he can't stand up to this, i wouldn't want to put him up against the republicans... no matter how sure i am of his victory.
...if he wins, he'll have taken on the most powerful couple in the democratic party and beaten them, and then whatever schmuck the repubs vomit up won't have a chance. but i want him to go through this, even though it pains me to see a (once) loved prez lower himself to such tactics.
...if he doesn't win... ah, hell, i wasn't gonna vote for hillary anyway.
...anyways. BRING IT ON, clintons. i, for one, am hoping barack HUSSEIN obama can take your low blows, rise above it, and make you look the fool all at the same time.
