To quote peacemom quoting Emma Goldman: "I don't want your revolution if I can't dance to it!"
Disclaimer: I am not connected to the Obama campaign and probably have little influence over them. I not even a very political person nor even musical. I just think their choice of a campaign theme song needs to be more inspiring.
In the interest of revitalizing their pedestrian choice of music and seeking an anthem to fire up both the faithful and unfaithful, below is a list of potential candidates for an Obama theme song.
Yesterday, due to my cyber ineptitude, I was unable to include a poll. Nevertheless, there was a nice turn out and many few write-in candidates, so many in fact that I'm forced to have a second primary, which I'll have tomorrow.
After the votes are collated, I'll combine the two primaries for a final poll.
Whichever song wins, the net result is a great playlist for upcoming Obama rallies.
Alas, there will be no paper ballot trail, so you'll have to depend on the DailyKos servers to keep an accurate tally!

"Stand!" by Sly & The Family Stone
Stand! You've been sitting much too long. There's a permanent crease in your right and wrong.
"Everybody Rejoice (Can You Feel A Brand New Day)" from the Wiz
Everybody look around
'Cause there's a reason to rejoice you see
Everybody come out
And let's commence to singing joyfully
Everybody look up
And feel the hope that we've been waiting for
"Wake Up Everybody" by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes
The world won't get no better if we just let it be
The world won't get no better we gotta change it yeah, just you and me.
